A message every adult should read because children
are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hang my
first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately
wanted to paint another one.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed a
stray cat, and I learned that it was good to be kind
to animals.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make my
favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little
things can be the special things in life.
When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a
prayer, and I knew that there is a God I could always
talk to, and I learned to trust in Him.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make a
meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I
learned that we all have to help take care of each other.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care
of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have
to take care of what we are given.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw how you
handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't
feel good, and I learned that I would have to be
responsible when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come
from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things
hurt, but it's all right to cry.
When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you
cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be.
When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of
life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and
productive person when I grow up.
When you thought I wasn't looking I looked at you and
wanted to say,'Thanks for all the things I saw when
you thought I wasn't looking.'
got this from a friends blog and i love it so many times we dont think they are paying attention but truly those times are the times they learn the most.

Kaydens FINAL and BEST soccer game
Kayden had his final soccer game yesterday. He did awesome, he did have his own cheering section but he scored 7 GOALS. Even though the wind was bitter cold he didn't let him bother HIS SKILLS. I was so proud of him this was the first time the sesson he scored. The first time he scored he was a bit bashful but after that he would grin from ear to ear. He is such a stud.
As for the cheering section well it was entertaining in itself he! he! (REMEMBER IT WAS FREEZING)

handing over the pedals
One of my friends posted this and i really liked it so i decided to blog steal and re post. It really is crazy how if we would just let go and let the Lord help us it would be truly amazing. this is story written by Tim Hansel

"The Road of Life"
“At first, I saw God as my observer, my judge, keeping track of the things I did wrong, so as to know whether I merited Heaven or hell when I die. He was out there sort of like a president.
But later on when I met Christ, it seemed as though life were rather like a bike ride, but it was a tandem bike, and I noticed that Christ was in the back helping me pedal.
I don’t know just when it was that He suggested we change places, but life has not been the same since. When I had control, I knew the way. It was rather boring, but predictable….It was the shortest distance between two points.
But when He took the lead, He knew delightful long cuts, up mountains, and through rocky places at breakneck speeds, it was all I could do to hang on! Even though it looked like madness, He said, “Pedal!”
I worried and was anxious and asked, “Where are you taking me?” He laughed and didn’t answer, and I started to learn to trust.
I forgot my boring life and entered into the adventure. And when I’d say, “I’m scared,” He’d lean back and touch my hand.
He took me to people with gifts that I needed, gifts of healing, acceptance and joy. They gave me gifts to take on my journey, my Lord’s and mine.
And we were off again. He said, “Give the gifts away; they’re extra baggage, too much weight.” So I did, to the people we met, and I found that in giving I received, and still our burden was light.
I did not trust Him, at first, in control of my life. I thought He’d wreck it; but He knows bike secrets, knows how to make it bend to take sharp corners, knows how to jump to clear high rocks, knows how to fly to shorten scary passages.
And I am learning to shut up and pedal in the strangest places, and I’m beginning to enjoy the view and the cool breeze on my face with my delightful constant companion, Jesus Christ.
And when I’m sure I just can’t do any more, He just smiles and says, “Pedal.”

The babies were very good fans and cheerleaders for the kids

Embrace
During the past couple of weeks many things have come and gone and i find myself pondering everyday wondering what the true message i learned helped teached or relized for that particular day. Through a dear friend i have managed to understand some of the lessons that i learned. (yes i know i am confusing to follow)
lesson one
life is short EMBRACE every minute you have
lesson two
children grow so fast EMBRACE every minute you have with them the good the bad and the not so fun ones
lesson three
when you think your life is hard or you feel like giving up EMBRACE the good that you have in your life instead of feeling the bad and focus on the positive (heaven knows it could be worse)
This post may not make sense to you but i have to occasionaly write my feelings out. So many times i go week to week and dont truely slow down to reflect on all the good things that are going on in one day. My children are my world and so many days after i have put them to bed, i think to myself what or have i taught them that day. (usually it is not the answer i would like it to be) I want my kids to know of the love that i posses for them i want them to carry there spirits high and have others recognize how phenominal each one of my children are.
My friend posted about the different things she chooses to EMBRACE in her life and asked those that read her blog to do the following. (so you all don't think i am nuts) try doing it to you may learn something about yourself.

my friend put this on her blog and it is just beautiful i had to steal it so many times we take these sweet spirits for granted and don't realize what a blessing we have by having them in our homes. Make sure and give your kids a extra squeeze every time you see them.
Just A Whisper
-- by Pam Clark
A spirit child was waiting
For his chance to come to earth
"I wonder who I'll go to
And what will be my worth?
Will I go to some young fam'ly
Who will love and hold me dear
Or will I go to one instead
With just a mother there?
Will I go to some with privilege?
Or to someplace that is poor
Will my parents see and love me
Or wish me there no more?"
As he saw the Father coming
He knew his time was night
"Come here and see the family
That you'll be with by and by."
He looked upon the family
And much to his delight
The family was so wonderful
Their home was full of light.
There was a brother and a sister
With a mother AND a dad
There was laughter, there was sunshine
And the gospel there was had
He was oh so very happy
As he looked to Father's face
And saw that there was something
That made him hesitate.
"This family is so wonderful!
Why do you look so sad?
It is more than I imagined
With both a mother and a dad!"
"Yes, the family here is wonderful!
His Father said it softer
"But the time that you will spend with them
Will be but just a whisper."
The child stood and thought awhile
Then he looked to Father's face
And as a tear rolled down his cheek
He understood His loving grace.
"If my time is just a whisper
Thank you Father, oh so much
For giving me a family
Whose hearts and souls I'll touch."
"I will not be forgotten;
But you know that didn't you,
I'll be loved and looked upon
Remembered through and through."
"Of all the gifts you've given me
This one is the best
I WILL be loved, the only thing
I want above the rest."
Upon his face a smile had come
"You must hurry little one
The time to go is now my child
Before the setting sun."
A mother's heart was sad that day
As she held her babe so small
Her husband dear and children there
To hold him, one and all.
"How can I give him back so soon
He's been here just a whisper
I had so many plans for him
Things to help him here discover."
I would teach him love of God
And play with him and then
Rock him gently back and forth
If his heart I had to mend.
I've tried my best, I really have
To do all the things you've said.
I want to sing him lullabies
As I tuck him into bed."
Then the Father gently said to her,
"You do not understand,
I know that you would love him
And always hold his hand."
"And because you are so Valiant
This is my gift to you
You have given me your very best
-----So I gave my best to you!"

Christmas At our House
So Christmas has come and gone, and this year was a little different then years past, in the simple fact that we really tried to incorporate the true meaning and traditions into our little children this year. We decorated cookies, delivered them to friends and loved ones by singing to them and we made lots of trips to look at lights. We also talked a lot about the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of the day, we had a lot of family time this year and it felt really good to connect on a plane that sometimes we "think" we are to busy to come down to. Christmas was good at our house this year for more then the presents and new things it brought.

christmas cookies
So this year i decided to be in the spirit of Christmas and bake cookies for our friends and neighbors. Well 4 dozen cookies later and a lot of mess the cookies were all together. I know the kids had a lot of fun and the mess was huge but i think we may have a new Christmas tradition.
